چکیده

Under the impact of earthquake, even if slopes do not fail, integrity rock slope structure would be damaged subjected to seismic motion. The process damage, destruction and failure for is characterized by dynamic evolution stability. In areas with active tectonic activities, frequent earthquakes have a significant effect on attenuation To investigate under earthquake motions, series shaking table tests were performed. An artificial synthetic wave was adopted horizontal acceleration response. results show that field propagation in amplification body above tuff structural surface are larger than those inside slope, maximum value 3.7 observed at crest. mutation response, which conducive modeled entered plastic stage (input motion 2.97 m/s2) earlier landslides occurred 4.46 m/s2). addition, safety factor sliding blocks calculated based pseudo static analysis. A good correspondence found between factors mode slope. damage can divided into three stages: an elastic (1.6 < ≤ 4.7), (0.8 1.6), (safety 0.8).

TOPOLOGY OPTIMIZATION OF 2D BUILDING FRAMES UNDER ARTIFICIAL EARTHQUAKE GROUND MOTIONS USING POLYGONAL FINITE ELEMENT METHOD

In this article, topology optimization of two-dimensional (2D) building frames subjected to seismic loading is performed using the polygonal finite element method. Artificial ground motion accelerograms compatible with the design response spectrum of ASCE 7-16 are generated for the response history dynamic analysis needed in the optimization. The mean compliance of structure is minimized as a t...

Performance of High-Rate Kinematic GPS During Strong Shaking: Observations from Shake Table Tests and the 2010 Chile Earthquake

Over the last decade, the 1-sample-per-second kinematic Global Positioning System (GPS) has been used as a displacement sensor in earthquake observations and for structural health monitoring. Many researchers in both seismology and engineering have expressed the desire for higher-sample-rate (10-sample-per-second or higher) GPS data to acquire high-frequency displacement information. We perform...

Analysis on Two Typical Landslide Hazard Phenomena in The Wenchuan Earthquake by Field Investigations and Shaking Table Tests.

Based on our field investigations of landslide hazards in the Wenchuan earthquake, some findings can be reported: (1) the multi-aspect terrain facing empty isolated mountains and thin ridges reacted intensely to the earthquake and was seriously damaged; (2) the slope angles of most landslides was larger than 45°. Considering the above disaster phenomena, the reasons are analyzed based on shakin...

investigating dynamic response of a buried pipeline in sandy soil layer by 1g shaking table test

investigating the parameters influencing the behavior of buried pipelines under dynamic loading is of great importance. in this study the soil structure interaction of the pipelines with the surrounding soil was addressed using shaking table tests. wave propagation along the soil layers was also included in the study. the semi infinite nature of the field was simulated using a laminar shear box...
